What are your Make a Difference animals?

Lion and Monkey

What is your superpower?

Listening and reflecting what I hear (often in words and pictures).

Where were you born and raised?

Green Bay, Wisconsin

What was your first job?

I’ve been an entrepreneur at heart since I was 10 years old, working as an underage, uncertified babysitter! I also worked alongside my dad, who was a small business owner, which sparked my attention to detail, love for creative problem-solving, and taking good care of customers.

What city are you currently based in and why do you love it?

I live in St. Paul, surrounded by giant, beautiful oak trees in our yard. One of my favorite things about our location is that we’re just a six-minute bike ride from the Mississippi River—it’s the perfect spot for grounding myself, finding inspiration, and reflecting.

How do you typically introduce yourself to new people?

I introduce myself as the Founder and CEO of TwoLine Studios, a creative problem-solving firm where we believe that creativity brings people back to the heart of business. On a personal note, I’ve been with my husband—who is also an artist—for over 20 years. Together, we’re a transracial adoptive family with an amazing 8-year-old daughter who constantly keeps life inspiring and joyful.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about you?

One thing I wish more people knew about me is how deeply I value creating spaces for connection and understanding. Whether through my work or in my personal life, I’m passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and inspired to take meaningful action. It’s the thread that ties together everything I do.

What’s one character trait that makes every leader better?

Truly listening.

What do you think is the best part of being on the C9 Team?

I love connecting with leaders and learning from their experiences.

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of your professional life?

I love biking, practicing yoga, and exercising with friends. I’m passionate about learning just about anything new, whether it’s exploring different cultures through travel or just getting really quiet in nature. I adore being a mom, a wife to my husband, Liam, and spending time with our dog, Zaso the Wonder Pup—my best buddy in the world.

Who is one of your mentors and why?

Norm Brodsky has been one of my most important mentors. Before working with me, he asked why I wanted to be an entrepreneur and agreed to mentor me because I shared that personal life, family, and business are all equally important—not just growing a business. He taught me that it’s okay to ask for help before you even need it and that no matter what challenges come your way, someone else has faced them and found a way through. Most importantly, he reminded me that the relationship you have with your life partner is what truly carries you, while money and business will come and go.
