What are your Make a Difference animals?

Primarily Turtle and Lion—I scored about the same for both. I like to describe myself as the quietest lion in the group if there are other heavy lion personalities.

What is your superpower?

Wearing 4" thick rose colored glasses even on the gloomiest and most challenging of days.

Monticello, Minnesota

What was your first job?

Painting silver chain link fences as an 8-year-old at Lube-Tech.

What city are you currently based in and why do you love it?

Chanhassen, MN - I love it because there is so much opportunity for the City of Chanhassen to grow and develop. Currently I'm serving on the Economic Development Commission, and we are working on bringing in better alliances between the commercial and private sectors to drive sustainable economic growth for decades to come.

How do you typically introduce yourself to new people?

I smile, give a firm handshake, and let people know I'm thankful to meet them. I'm very open and transparent and am genuinely eager to get to know people and make a connection.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about you?

My favorite word is GRIT. I choose to live with a growth mindset, which has proven to be omnipresent throughout life.

What’s one character trait that makes every leader better?

A servant’s heart.

What do you think is the best part of being on the C9 Team?

Vulnerability by other C9 Members and their openness to share their stories.

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of your professional life?

Hockey, flying airplanes, fishing with friends, and travel.

Who is one of your mentors and why?

My father. He's the most genuine and humble human I've ever known. He's a rock for not only myself but many other people both personally and professionally. He's inspiring to many.
