Hi C9 Members + Friends!

What a start to the year! January was packed with events, including our first C9 Well session, Unlock Your Full Potential: Harnessing the 7 Elements of Wellness, and the 2025 Community Supporter Kickoff Event at Clubhouse in Edina. Check out more details about our Community Supporters in this edition of the C9 Community News. I’m excited for a year of strong partnerships and shared growth with these folks.

We also held our first 2025 Team Summit at Ascentek / Lube-Tech, where we focused on the unique dynamics of each Coalition9 Group and explored ways to enhance the Member experience. Topics included fostering a culture of mutual accountability, effective group time management, approaches to continuing education, and fresh ideas about guest speakers and social outings. All in the spirit of being the leaders C9 Members need us to be. You can connect with our amazing C9 Team through our website C9 Team page.

This Thursday, we’re off to the St. Paul Curling Club for our C9 SPARK Pop-In Lunch + Learn...To Curl! We tried doing a curling event last year in March, but it was too warm and the outdoor rinks melted. We’re taking it to indoor rinks this time, so no danger of ice melting OR freezing our butts off.

To help you plan your year, we’ve launched a subscribable events calendar through AddEvent. It works with all major calendar platforms—more details are below.

Congratulations to C9 Member, Community Supporter (EOS Implementer), and C9 Well Event Series Partner Mike Jones on the birth of his 5th child, Scarlett Jones, on January 31, 2025!

Community Supporter Seiler Law and C9 Members James Olsen and Scott Seiler are hosting “Hooky on the Hill”—a skiing, snowboarding, and networking event exclusively for C9 Members on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 12 PM at Buck Hill in Burnsville. Matt Norman, CEO of Dale Carnegie and C9 facilitator, announced that their “How to Design Your Organization for Greater Efficiency in a DOGE World” will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 3 to 4:30 PM at Life Time Work Minneapolis. Join Matt for this exclusive discussion with organizational design expert Peter Hutchinson. This event is complimentary to C9 Members. RSVP by March 11, 2025. Light appetizers and drinks provided. Matt Norman also announced that he will lead a 2-day program in May for executives and senior leaders called “High Impact Facilitation.” This program is ideal for those who facilitate important meetings such as peer groups, strategic planning, training, and workshops. The program fee is $2495, and includes a private coaching session and a one-year AI coach. C9 Members receive a 20% discount, and C9 will cover an additional 10%, bringing the total to $1800. Member Joey Torkildson announced the launch of Home at Home, a company dedicated to helping aging adults stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Community Supporter Barton, Walter & Krier, CPAs and Business Advisors recently received the Sun Sailor Plymouth Reader's Choice Award for CPA Firms. Additionally, CEO Jay Trumbower organized the 12th Annual FEI Twin Cities Capital Markets and M&A Update on January 28, 2025, attended by over 160 people. More than 50% of the team also participated in the Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on February 3, 2025. Congratulations to the BWK team on these achievements! Learn more and connect
Member Mark Ostrom from Joy Collaborative announced that The Joy Mobile—which provides stress-relief solutions at events for individuals with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions, such as autism and PTSD—needs volunteers and event sponsors for 2025. The Joy Mobile supports people at various locations and events, including schools, clinics, CHS Field, PRIDE, and the MN State Fair. January C9 Well Event Recap

Our January C9 Well event, Unlock Your Full Potential: Harnessing the 7 Elements of Wellness, was an inspiring start to the year!

Mike Jones—a military leader turned fitness entrepreneur and business coach—guided attendees through an actionable session on aligning daily habits with our biggest goals.

Some highlights included:

Mike’s 7 Elements of Wellness: Sleep, Exercise, Nutrition, Relationships, Purpose, Spirituality, and Mindfulness
Ideas to personalize your 7 Elements of Wellness
Strategies for setting goals and tracking progress
Future-Selfing: Imagine your life 1 year from now. If you made substantial improvement in an area, what would your life look like?

Key takeaway: It can be challenging to prioritize your wellness, especially as busy business people, but all the things you do to take care of yourself help you perform better in all areas.

Huge thanks to Mike for leading this workshop and for partnering with us on the C9 Well Event Series, and to our Event Location Partner, Versique, for hosting us.

We had a wonderful kickoff event celebrating our 2025 C9 Community Supporters in January.

Our Coalition9 Community Supporters play such a valuable role in the events, programs, and experience of our Members. We could not continue to provide an unrivaled Member experience without each one having our backs. We are so incredibly grateful for their belief in the C9 Community.
