Happy New Year, C9 Community + Friends!

As we step into 2025, I’ve been reflecting on all the incredible ways Coalition9 has grown and evolved over the past year. Looking back, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. From fostering authentic relationships to sparking game-changing collaborations, this Community continues to inspire and energize me. We’re kicking off 2025 with an almost-sold-out C9 Well event on Friday—registration is open for general admission and closes tomorrow if you want to grab one of the last spots. Mike Jones will be leading the workshop Unlock Your Full Potential: Harnessing the 7 Elements of Wellness. More details are below. We’ve also posted most of the dates for our 2025 Events, so start marking your calendars!

Finally, I want to say THANK YOU to each of you—our Members, C9 Team, Community Supporters, and Event Partners + Supporters. Coalition9 wouldn’t be what it is without your energy, passion, and commitment. I can’t wait to see how we’ll continue to grow together in 2025 and beyond.

Member Mark Williams, from Mark D. Williams Custom Homes, announced that The Curious Builder is holding an event at Sauna Camp Minnesota on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2 to 6:30 PM on Lake Minnewashta in Excelsior. The day includes breathwork tutorials, multiple rounds of sauna and cold plunging, and an open-fire, chef-prepared meal to cap off your adventure. Learn more and register
Member James Olsen from Community Supporter Seiler Law is excited to share that Between Borders, a powerful film based on real-life events, and one he had the privilege of supporting as legal counsel, will debut in theaters nationwide January 26-28, 2025. This film delves deep into the true story of an Armenian refugee family's struggles with both immigration and communism. Learn more and find a theater near you
Member Brittney Hegg of B.Strong Nutrition announced her Sauna & Ice Wellness Retreats for 2025. February’s event is on the 1st from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Join three health experts for movement, breathwork, guided sauna and cold plunge sessions, breakout discussions on nutrition and mindset, plus beverages, snacks, and an organic farm-to-table meal. Member Ben Walker announced that Rêve Studios is launching a new class format in January (Mat pilates) and will be promoting it with pop-up events around the Twin Cities leading up to their first anniversary wellness event on February 2, 2025. Check their schedule to reserve your spot. Learn more

Member Nate Zoellner of Community Supporter Sales Homie announced the Q1 2025 launch of ForwardSelling, their digital asset brand, featuring prospecting, sales process + strategy, and marketing resources. It will debut the “2025 Selling Blueprint,” a strategic guide for sales and revenue growth that all business owners or sales teams can implement in 2025. Sign up here for launch updates.
Members Tony Ticknor, founder of Little Fork, is proud to have completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. This rigorous program equips small business owners with practical education, access to capital, and a supportive network to drive sustainable growth. Tony looks forward to applying these insights to further Little Fork’s mission of crafting impactful, innovative websites.
Member Lisa McEllistrem from Community Supporter Modern Foundation, also completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Congrats to both Tony and Melissa!
Member Khalique Rogers from Center for School Change shared that an opportunity he created has led the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency to approve $100,000 in grants for two public school districts. These programs will teach students construction skills while building homes for people experiencing homelessness and low-income families. Learn more at Minnesota Housing. Community Supporter CAISSA Wealth Strategies and C9 Member Kelly Pedersen are excited to announce Halina Alexejun as their new Director of Operations! Halina joined the team in December and brings a wealth of experience in fintech, regulatory insights, and practice management.
Member Mitch Simonson from Simonson Appraisals was recently on the Twin Cities-based The Chills Podcast. In the episode, “Big Wins From Life’s Little Moments,” they discuss those moments that give them chills in business and life. Mitch also shares some strategies that have worked for him, with small portions from the keynote he developed, “Empowering Leaders to Live with More Meaning, Margin and Miracles.” Give it a watch/listen here

This week, we’ll be locking in the date for our February C9 Well Event - Lunch Pop-In and Open Curling at St. Paul Curling Club in St. Paul.

The tentative date is Thursday, February 13, 11 AM to 1:30 PM.

This event will be a blend of a lunch pop-in and open curling with a tutorial and coaching from Member Daniel Metcalf. Stop by anytime for lunch and relationship building!

December C9 Well Event Recap

Our last 2024 C9 Well event, an Outdoor Sauna + Cold Plunge experience, was truly unforgettable! About 50 people came out to Excelsior to brave the cold weather for some contrast therapy at Sauna Camp Minnesota.

The setting was beautiful, and there’s just something special about getting a group of good people together to shock their systems in multiple ways. The level of relationship building was awesome–so many great conversations. The saunas heated up to a sizzling 150-180 degrees. And the lake water? A bone-chilling 32 degrees! If that doesn’t create a unique bond, we don’t know what does.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—our C9 Members and new friends alike! Your enthusiasm, willingness to get vulnerable, and downright bravery made this event such a blast. Check out the photos below.

Much gratitude goes out to the team at Sauna Camp Minnesota and our C9 Well Series Partner, Mike Jones, Professional EOS Implementer, for helping make it all happen!
