Welcome to spring, Coalition9 Members + Friends!

We’ve had so many gorgeous spring days, and I hope everyone is able to get outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Go for a meditative walk, get those bikes out, or start getting your hands dirty! We're busy on our hobby farm with spring cleanup and planning the garden.

I’m so excited about what we have in store for our May events. The C9 Well event is on May 7th and will be all about nutrition for high performers—making the right choices to perform at your absolute best.

The following week, we have our big spring SPARK Series event on May 15th: “From Vision to Reality: An Exploration of Business Operating Systems.” This panel discussion and lunch event will feature some rock star SMEs! Members receive 2 free tickets (you received an email invite), and we have opened this event up for general admission today—don’t miss your chance to check out the C9 Member Experience, as we rarely offer admission to the public. Community Supporter John Naughtin from Versique announced that their biggest networking and giving event of the year, The Power of People, which supports Dress for Success Twin Cities (DFSTC), will be on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley. Versique is expecting 300 people, and their goal is to raise over $100K. It will be a fun night of entertainment, networking, and live + silent auctions—all while coming together for a great cause! Coalition9 is a proud Silver Level Sponsor of the event.

Member Brandon Norberg from Loffler Companies announced that their Secure and Empower Your Business webinar will be on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 1 to 3 PM. They will discuss maintaining your organization's edge in today's dynamic tech landscape, including strategies to enhance efficiency through workflow automation, the latest USPS mailing regulations, cyber and physical security measures, and more. May is Foster Care Month, and Member Martha Engel from Best & Flanagan Law announced that she is an ambassador for Connections to Independence’s (C2i) Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby Fundraiser on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lake Monster Brewing. C2i provides services primarily for teens and young adults in the foster system to promote a successful and healthy transition to independent living. Members Todd Johnson from CorTalent and Julie Steenerson from Keystone Executive Search announced that the Twin Cities will have a new top 5 executive search firm following the merger of their two businesses. The new entity is called Strategic Talent Partners. Congratulations! We love it when C9 Members join forces. Read more about the merger in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Last month, Member Mitchell Simonson’s wife, Deanna Simonson of Pivotal Step, delivered a TEDx Talk in Ohio titled, “How Parenting is the First Line of Defense in Teen Suicide.” It will be available on YouTube in late April.
Member Austin Richardson of McQuillan Home Services announced that they are selling to a PE group. He is excited and, to some extent, worrisome about what or if things will change drastically. Overall he has enjoyed learning and growing during this unique transition.
Member Darin Lynch announced that Irish Titan celebrated their 20-year anniversary on April 5th by donating the $4020 that was raised at their annual Shenanigans for Good party in March. Congrats on 20 years!
Irish Titan was also a finalist for the ACG Bold award, is a finalist for Platinum Group's upcoming Meaningful Capitalism Award, and is a finalist for BigCommerce's 2023 Partner of the Year. Way to go, Irish Titan! Learn more

Highland Park High School Networking Event:

Spring Internships:
Interested in taking on interns this spring? St. Paul Public Schools pays the interns–they just need internships/mentors for the students. Email Kristine Somerville if you are interested.
