Hiya C9 Members and friends!

This is the perfect time of year for personal and professional reflection, expressing gratitude, and mindful ideation.

I’m so proud of the Community we’ve built at C9 and how we’ve grown over the past year. A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to everyone who continues to take part in and support Coalition9. Our Members, facilitators, team members, Community Supporters, Event Partners + Supporters, and everyone else cheering us on: I’m so grateful for all of you.

We’re in the midst of strategic planning season for the upcoming new year: planning our 2024 SPARK Series event calendar, focusing on our Members strategic initiatives in group sessions, building the C9Gives Foundation–our future nonprofit–and strategizing on how to continue providing a second-to-none Member experience.

If you need some direction on how to prepare for 2024, we still have a few spots available at our Preparing for 2024 event next week. The registration deadline is tomorrow–you’ll find the link on our website and in this edition of the Coalition9 Community News.

Williams Custom Homes Inc and The Curious Builder Podcast announced their second live podcast recording event will be November 14 from 4 to 7 PM at the Lowlands event center in St. Paul. Featuring podcast guest Alex Lelchuk (owner of Lelch Audio and Lowlands event center), who will share the story of his new wedding venue and business. Hosted by Mark Williams and Jordyn DiOrio. Members Mark Ostrom and Mark Williams would like to invite all C9-ers to preview the Joy Mobile, a mobile sensory unit. Joy Collaborative's partnership project is their latest innovation and will be featured at Member Mark William's Curious Builder Live Event podcast on November 14th (listing above). If you are interested in ways to experience a space designed for the neurodiverse community, or have DEI initiatives around mental health, autism, or education, you’ll want to check out the Joy Mobile. Member Nate Zoellner of Sales Homie recently signed their first retained search contract to lead sourcing efforts for two new Account Sales Managers/Reps for a client in the OEM/manufacturing space, located in Burnsville. Sales Homie is a Fractional CRO/VP Sales and Consulting Agency that also delivers Sales Recruiting, Sales Training, and Sales Leadership Coaching services, based out of the Twin Cities. Member Heide Olson announced that All In One Accounting has rebranded and is now Accountinuity. Learn more
Heide Olson also announced that her business climbed 17 spots from last year to #19 this year in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50. Congrats to everyone at Accountinuity! Learn more
Member Don Raleigh III has formally joined the American Cancer Society’s Twin Cities Golf Classic Executive Board as a volunteer this year, taking part in the planning and fundraising for this event. The committee is inviting companies and individuals to consider corporate sponsorship and golf foursomes. The event will be held at Oak Ridge Country Club in Hopkins, June 9-10, 2024. Learn more
Member Tom Hart recently published the latest edition of his monthly newsletter, The Curious Connector, in an effort to not completely devolve into a WFH hermit. By skimming this newsletter you can expect to feel (a) better about your own writing abilities, (b) a bit more connected to this AI-infused world we’re living in, and (c) curious why “protopia” is more probable/preferable to dystopia/utopia.
Member Mike Jones of William Charlotte and Alchemy 365 has been accepted as a Professional EOS Implementer. He will attend the EOS bootcamp on November 28th. Good luck Mike!
Member Martha Engel of Best and Flanagan encourages C9 Members and followers to consider the following legal housekeeping items as we look to 2024:
- Make sure you renew your business filing with the MN Secretary of State.
- Update your employment documents in light of this year’s policy updates including the non-compete ban and the new statewide sick and safe leave law.
- Make sure your privacy policy and terms of use on your website are up to date.
- Consider reviewing your NDAs for updates in the age of AI.
