Welcome to Fall, Coalition9 Members + Friends!

It’s officially fall, and we kicked it off right with a beautiful autumn day on Saturday for our C9 Community Appreciation Event at LuceLine Orchard! Thank you to everyone who joined us. This event was our way of showing our appreciation to our C9 Community Members. Check out some pics in our recap.

The Power of Nine Podcast returned on September 28th, and we’re be back on our biweekly schedule. A new episode will be dropping this week!

Member Darin Lynch of Irish Titan announced that they are gearing up for their Ecomm Forum which is tomorrow, Thursday, October 12th! It's their biggest event of the year, and they have collected some of the best and brightest in ecommerce (plus Darin) for a celebration of ecommerce achievements to date and inspiring those still to come. Members Darin Lynch and Anna Kallberg from Irish Titan also announced that they are hiring a Performance Marketing Manager. They are super excited to have a new addition to the management team and a leader to drive their PMX team forward. Check out the full job description and apply here.
Member Heather Willems of TwoLine Studios announced their workshop Drawn Together: The Art of Listening for Changemakers will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 2 PM at The Annex at ScoutWorkshop (South Minneapolis). This in-person, hands-on workshop will help you build self awareness and deep listening skills through drawing and storytelling. Gain visual tools, build connection—and have fun doing it! Who should attend? Team leaders, coaches, facilitators, those who want to strengthen business and personal relationships and gain creative communication skills. Member Jaime Taets and facilitator Chelsey Paulson announced Keystone Group International’s next Culture Cohort will be on Growing Business and Culture Through People Development and will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 3:15 to 6:30 PM at the Metropolitan Ballroom and Clubroom in Golden Valley. Panel guests Chris Dardis from Versique, Missy Chicre from Menttium, and Heather Braimbridge-Cox from Windings Inc. will discuss how great cultures create the conditions for people to be as successful as possible throughout the entire employee experience, including: recruiting, onboarding, on-the-job training, promotions, and retirement readiness. Member Lisa Pflipsen and Brandon Norberg of Loffler announced that they are hosting their Tech Fest on October 26th from 9 AM to 5 PM at their location in St. Louis Park. Breakout session topics include: how to protect your environment through cyber security, the evolution of video surveillance, Microsoft Modern Workplace (C9 Member Spencer Anderson is one of the speakers), and more. The keynote speaker is C9 Member Jamie Taets from Keystone Group International. Learn more and RSVP by October 12th.
Member Whitney Emanuel of Whitney Wealth Group is being honored by TeamWomen as a WaveMaker in the Unchartered Territory category. Congrats Whitney! Celebrate with her at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 12 from 5 to 8 PM at The Metropolitan. Learn more and register
Member Nathan Young recently resigned as General Manager of International Packaging and is looking for project work while developing his new startup, How to be Second. He specializes in being a high-level generalist (or second in command) but is particularly skilled in Proven Process Development and Project Management.
Nathan also announced that How to be Second is hosting its first virtual Monthly Meetup for Seconds on Thursday, October 19th at 3 PM. More details available soon at Howtobesecond.com/meetup.
Member Khalique Rogers of Center for School Change announced that they are hosting a webinar on October 23rd from 3 to 4 PM that will focus on the Challenge Grant Program, which allows high schools to apply for up to $100,000 to create a program in which high school students learn construction skills as they build a home for a low-income family or a family experiencing homelessness. Tal Anderson from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, along with a teacher and student from GAP School, will explain the RFP and what organizations could do this fall to get ready to apply, describe lessons learned from other schools, and identify some of the things that MHFA will look for in the application. Facilitator Laura King is hosting her Pursue Your Purpose Workshop on October 30th and 31st from 9 AM to noon. Member Joe Montgomery and facilitator Suzie Heiam both participated in earlier workshops and can offer insight on the process, or check out this testimonial video. Member Mark Williams also announced their live recording event on November 4th from 4 to 7 PM for The Curious Builder Podcast at the Lowlands event center in St. Paul. Featuring podcast guest Alex Lelchuk (owner of Lelch Audio and Lowlands event center) hosted by Mark Williams and Jordyn DiOrio. 100-150 guests with a networking hour, VIP event options, and an hour-long interview and Q+A session for all things business related for entrepreneurs. Member Kelli Johanson of IDEAL Property Investments will be speaking at The RSP Fall Experience on “Get Your Worth… You've earned all that cash, now let's put it to work for you!” on Friday, October 13. The event is sold out, but congrats on the impressive speaking engagement Kelli! Learn more
Member Kelli Schnieder announced that SafeNet Consulting was acquired by the Eliassen Group out of Reading, MA. Eliassen is a global technology consulting firm who was looking for a midwest presence to expand their capabilities. (The Foxtrot tiki bar will still be open for events though!) Learn more
Member Brandon Holmes was promoted to VP of Operations at Ajax Metal Forming Solutions. Congrats, Brandon!
Member Don Raleigh III announced that the team at Evolve Payment has onboarded a new software called Biller Genie, a new payment processing tool that allows clients to process payments within QuickBooks without needing to conduct dual entry and receive significantly smaller fees. Member Susan Rylance has recently joined Intuitive Technology Group as Chief Operating Officer. Susan will assume a pivotal role in driving Intuitive's mission to support innovative and tailored IT solutions to their clients, empowering them to achieve their business objectives effectively and efficiently. Congratulations, Susan!
Member Kristin Nordling of Lakeside HR Group announced that they will be celebrating 2 years on October 21st! Happy anniversary!

Member Stacy Stratton of True Talent Group announced that they are hiring a Operations/Finance Specialist. They are looking for a super-efficient and organized operations rockstar with the non-stop energy needed to support a dynamic team, day in and day out. October C9 Community Appreciation Event Recap

It was a beautiful autumn day on Saturday for our C9 Community Appreciation Event at LuceLine Orchard! Check out some pics below.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. This event is our way of showing our appreciation to our C9 Community Members. All the expertise, generosity, care, and kindness they bring to the Coalition9 Community make it truly great.

And thanks to everyone at LuceLine Orchard for being fantastic hosts.

We loved seeing the C9 Community Members and their families enjoying all the fall activities, exploring the orchard, strengthening relationships, and growing new friendships.

Cece Update

Cece is Coalition9's concierge service. C9 Members can text Cece with questions, current needs, and connection requests, and Cece will take it from there.

Cece has moved to a new platform and will be available again starting next week! Members: watch your email for more information, including Cece’s new number. Also expect a check-in text from Cece early next week.
