Happy Fall Coalition9 Members + Friends!
Well, it's not technically fall, but it's starting to feel like it. Plus, our Coalition9 Community Appreciation Event at LuceLine Orchard is less than a month away, and you don't get much more "fall" than gathering at an orchard on an autumn day. The invite was emailed last week on Thursday, in case you missed it.
Friday is the last day to register for our Jam Session on Revenue Generation, so if you're a C9 Member, Community Supporter, or Event Partner or Supporter and want to attend, get on it! We'd love to have you jam with us.
The Power of Nine Podcast has been on summer break, but we'll be back at the end of the month with an all new episode and will continue on our biweekly schedule after that.
Also, please note that Cece, our C9 Concierge, is moving to a new platform and will be unavailable for a couple weeks starting September 20th. More info on that below.
I look forward to seeing the C9 Community at what are sure to be amazing SPARK events with meaningful relationship building this month and next.

Member Khalique Rogers of the Center for School Change focuses on empowering Minnesota's low-income and BIPOC youth in home building projects and other work with Minnesota state legislators. He is seeking some Coalition9 allies after he led a successful effort, cited in the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press, at the 2023 Minnesota Legislature. This led to the allocation of millions of dollars to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency’s program that helps high school students learn construction skills as they build homes for low-income families and families experiencing homelessness. Congrats on such a wonderful accomplishment!
Interested in getting involved with this program? The Center for School Change is looking for assistance with report design and publishing, filming and editing a YouTube video featuring 3-4 schools, case study sponsors, and fall lunch event sponsors. Contact Khalique to learn more and get involved.
Member Don Raleigh III from Evolve Systems announced that they are celebrating 21 years! Help them celebrate at their anniversary party on Thursday, September 21st from 2-5 PM at Bauhaus Brew Labs in Minneapolis. Please RSVP by Thursday, September 14th. Don Raleigh III also announced that Evolve Systems is adding an Account Manager to their team. This candidate will work with the Program Managers, Marketing Manager, Revenue Team (sales and marketing teams), and clients to collaborate on projects. Account Managers immerse themselves in their client’s business, products, services, industry, and competitive environment. During Twin Cities Startup Week, which runs September 15-21, 2023, Members James Olsen and Scott Seiler of Seiler Law and Member Michael Polt of Growth Operators will be discussing "Humanizing M&A" on Tuesday, September 19, from 1 to 2 PM at Finnovation Labs’ Training Lab. Member Reed Robinson of Groove Capital announced that their Angel Fest Fall Investor Rally will be held Wednesday, September 20, 4 to 6 PM at The Basement Bar in Minneapolis. This event is intended for active angel investors or those interested in becoming an early-stage investor. They are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, so don’t be shy–you can join in regardless of where you are in your investing journey. Registration opens at 4 PM and pitches start promptly at 4:30 PM (so arrive early!), followed by networking at 5:15 PM. Learn more and register
Member Heather Willems of TwoLine Studios will be presenting at the Associations North event Drawn Together: Visual Strategy for Managing Burnout on Tuesday, September 26, 12:30 to 1:30 PM. This interactive 60-minute virtual workshop provides visual collaboration tools to tackle burnout and revitalize leadership. Attendees will gain research-backed frameworks and visual templates to refresh, refocus, and re-energize their approach amid chaos. Learn more and register

Facilitator Laura King of Marketers’ Community and SkyWater Search Partners announced the first Marketers’ Community Transformation Talks Meetup will be “Mastering Chaos: Navigating Leadership in an Era of Disruption” on Tuesday, October 10, 2:30 to 5 PM at Heroic Productions STUDIO15 in Minneapolis. They’ll be diving into the challenges that leaders face while exploring strategic solutions for navigating today’s changing work environment. Member Jaime Taets and facilitator Chelsey Paulson announced Keystone Group International’s next Culture Cohort will be on Growing Business and Culture Through People Development and held on Wednesday, October 18, 3:15 to 6:30 PM at the Metropolitan Ballroom and Clubroom in Golden Valley. Panel guests will discuss how great cultures create the conditions for people to be as successful as possible throughout the entire employee experience, including: recruiting, onboarding, on-the-job training, promotions, and retirement readiness. Facilitator Katie Walter of Trellis and a FRAK 2023 organizing committee member announced that FRAK 2023, the first-ever conference for fractional executives and the people who need their services, will be Oct. 24-25 in Minneapolis. Keynote speakers include Jazz Hampton, founder of Turn Signl; Amanda Brinkman of Small Business Revolution fame; and Tiffany Mattick, a powerhouse coach and facilitator. Facilitator Janiece Gray of JGray & Associates announced that they are partnering with C-Suite Resources to launch a new and exciting Physician Leadership Development Program! Learning to Lead is designed to give physicians and potentially other clinicians a chance to “put their toe in the water” and see if the administrative world matches their interests and career aspirations. This is a casual event to bring the C9 Community and their families together for a festive autumn day at the orchard.

Coalition9 Summer Social at CHS Field Recap
We had an awesome time at the Coalition9 SPARK Summer Social at CHS Field on August 15th! What an amazing way to spend a summer evening—with good people, tasty food, lovely weather, and some baseball. Check out some pics below.
The Coalition9 Community gathered at the CHS Field Gallery for a St. Paul Saints game and some incredible relationship building. We had a crew of over 100 C9 Members, Event Partners + Supporters, Community Supporters, the C9 Team, and their guests.
A huge THANK YOU to all of you! We love seeing you strengthening valued relationships and making new connections within our community of GOOD PEOPLE.

Cece Is Moving!
Cece is Coalition9's concierge service. C9 Members can text Cece with questions, current needs, and connection requests, and Cece will take it from there.
This month, we will be moving to a different SMS Texting platform, so Cece will be unavailable via text for a couple of weeks starting Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
