Hi Coalition9 Members + Friends!

Though fall officially arrives this month, the weather is still hanging on to summer (highs in the 80s?!?). With kids heading back to school, it's the perfect time to refocus and settle into our routines again.

After a summer break, The Power of Nine Podcast returns tomorrow with a brand-new episode, and we’ll continue on our bimonthly schedule after that.

We had some fun closing out summer with our C9 Summer Social at CHS Field in August and learned about the importance of prioritizing sleep health at our C9 Well event last week. Recap, key takeaways, and pics below!

We also have exciting Member News, including some major events that many of our group facilitators and members are involved in: Twin Cities Startup Week—where I’ll be speaking about Coalition9—and the Fractional Conference, which we are proud to sponsor. Our C9 Community is ready to get down to business, share their expertise, and basically take over the Twin Cities business community. Let’s go!

Our C9 Community Appreciation event is next month, and the email invitation was sent yesterday. We're excited to be heading back to LuceLine Orchard—if you couldn't make it last year, you're in for a real treat. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a crisp autumn day with friends and family. I hope to see you there!

  • Twin Cities Startup Week begins THIS FRIDAY! It runs September 13-20, 2024, and there are a lot of C9 Members involved. Learn more, explore the full lineup, and register

  • Member Whitney Emanuel announced her LifeSync course–the ultimate course to reclaim your time and balance your life–runs September 18-October 9, 2024. The course entails two hours per week of class time, one hour live, and one hour pre-recorded (except for week four, with one Q&A and a coaching session you redeem at your leisure).   • October is Cyber Security Awareness Month! Member Brandon Norberg from Loffler announced that they are hosting a Cyber Security Summit at their location in St. Louis Park on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3 to 6 PM in partnership with BMO Bank and ConnectWise. They will explore essential strategies to protect your business and provide actionable insights and practical tools to secure your business against cyber threats. Learn more + RSVP

  • Member Darin Lynch from Irish Titan announced that they were awarded an ecommerce industry award by BigCommerce and Feedonomics, recognizing their efforts to champion merchants' abilities to grow their ecommerce presence across channels, from their own site to Walmart, Amazon, and beyond.   • Darin also announced Irish Titan's 10th  annual Ecomm Forum event will be held on October 10, 2024 and will celebrate ecommerce achievements to date and inspire those yet to come, with bagpipes (of course), live Irish music, live white boarding, and other unique experiences.   • The second annual Fractional Conference will be held October 21-22, 2024 at Finnovation Lab in Minneapolis. This event is for fractionals, business coaches and advisors, and people who sell to and through solopreneurs. Programming, community, and opportunities to build your referral network.   • We’re celebrating a couple weddings in the C9 Community. Congratulations to Jack Bostrom and Peyton Green on their marriages!

  • Member, C9 Well Event Series Partner, and Professional EOS Implementer Mike Jones is celebrating starting with his 10th client. This is a big milestone in his goal to build a practice of 20 clients locally in the Twin Cities. Congrats Mike—keep it up!

  • St. Paul Public Schools and the RightTrack program are looking to place high school students in internship positions in the spring. They would love to set up a time this fall to come talk to whoever is interested. Contact both Kristine Somerville (kristine.somerville@spps.org) and Nardos Tesfalidet (nardos.tesfalidet@ci.stpaul.mn.us) to learn more and get the process started.

  • Member Corey Falls from Mytech Partners announced that the Edina Rotary Foundation is accepting applications for its annual local grants. The deadline for grant applications is October 31, 2024, and winners will be announced in spring of 2025. The project should benefit one or more of the areas of focus noted in this guidelines PDF. In the section that asks “How Did You Hear About This Grant?” list Corey Falls and Aaron Eggert. Click here to apply

October SPARK Event - C9 Community Appreciation Event

This is a casual event to bring the C9 Community and their families together for a festive autumn day at the orchard.

LuceLine offers food and refreshments for people of all ages, and they are known for their fall activities:

  • Live music

  • Hayrides

  • 30-acre corn maze

  • Farm animals to pet + feed

  • Hay mountains to climb

  • Playground

  • Nature trail

  • …and more!

This event is the true essence of community—we're so excited to bring everyone together at this much-loved Minnesota orchard.

August C9 SPARK Event Recap

Coalition9 closed out summer with our Summer Social at CHS Field, which was a huge success—everyone had an awesome time! Good people building relationships, tasty food, great weather, and baseball. September C9 Well Event Recap

At our September C9 Well event on Sleep Health, we dove deep into the crucial role sleep plays in our lives, exploring ways to enhance its quality for better overall health and well-being.

We were honored to have Dr. Snigdha Pusalavidyasagar, MD FAASM from the University of Minnesota as our expert speaker. She made the science of sleep easy to understand, sharing valuable insights on:

  • The Circadian Rhythm + sleep stages

  • Physical + mental benefits of quality sleep

  • How much sleep we need + the best time to get it

  • Common sleep disorders

  • Sleep hygiene + simple lifestyle changes for better rest
